We are absolutely thrilled to share that the AES School Garden has been awarded a $5,000 Community Infrastructure Grant from Western Financial Group – Canada’s Insurance Broker to support building our new school garden! This is the largest grant or donation that the AES PAC has received in support of our school garden construction project.
This incredible grant was made possible thanks to the support of the Vernon Branch of Western Financial, who nominated our school for the funding. The insurance broker’s Vernon Branch has just moved to a brand-new location at Vernon Square 905 – 4400 32 Street (near the Vernon Safeway grocery store).
The $5,000 grant has been a major boost to the project, helping us cover essential infrastructure costs like fencing, irrigation, and construction supplies. It’s allowing us to build a garden space that’s safe, functional, and welcoming for all of our students and teachers.
