Call to Order, Welcome, and Acknowledgement
Meeting called to order at 5:35 PM PST.
We respectfully acknowledge that we are grateful to live, work, and play within the beautiful ancestral, traditional, and unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan people, Secwepemc Nation and acknowledge the Métis people who reside here.

Principal’s Report
Principal – Val Edgell
- Learning Updates will be released to students on Tuesday March 11th 2025.
- Teachers have been working hard; Val reviews all reports before sign-off.
- Pancake Breakfast: March 14th, led by the leadership class, teachers, and parents.
- Students eat with buddy classes.
- Val requested parent volunteers.
- Talent Show: March 12th, two sessions: 8:30am and 10:00am.
- Parents notified by email.
- Interior painting update: one classroom at a time post-spring break.
- LED lighting upgrades.
- Lead/asbestos testing before work begins.
- Completion in 1+ years.

All is good. No report at this time.

Old Business
Special Project: AES Garden Construction Update
- West Coast Seeds fundraiser raised $650 (30 orders + free seeds for the school)
- $2,000 grant from Farm Credit Canada received.
- ~$6,000 in business donations received.
- Thank-you cards and invitations underway (by Erin Harvey).
- Nanae will coordinate volunteers from Vernon She Shed Society.
- Fruit tree donations in progress (from Bylands Nursery).
- Garden gate/fence up; placement was adjusted by SD83.
- Garden layout had to be revised due to fence layout changes during install.
- New 3D model by Sam created.
- Bike racks moved and being repositioned.
- Tree trimming/discussion with neighbour planned by SD83.
- Communication concerns with SD83 noted; Val will submit feedback.

Kindergarten Grad Photos
Motion to spend $50: 1st Chloe Hale, 2nd Jordi Fraser – Approved
Summer to take photos during school time.
Swimming Lessons
4 days, 1hr/day, $405 per group

One-to-One Reading
Program ending next week; pizza party and bookmarks for participants.
AES Apparel
Aislinn exploring options through 1602 Custom Designs.
Feedback: current colours too limited.
Aislinn will connect with Mr. Belec.
Freezie Friday
Starts April 4th.
Volunteer sign-up at front office.
Jordi offered freezer space.
