Call to Order, Welcome, and Acknowledgement
Meeting called to order at 5:35 PM PST.

Principal’s Report
Principal – Val Edgell
- New soccer nets were damaged overnight on first night. Val is investigating.
- Schoolwide goals: Math and Writing.
- Math challenge across the school—100 math problems = 15 mins extra recess.
- Math Night planned; HPE and possibly Len Wood Middle School will join.
- Teachers learned new math games on Pro-D day.
- Intervention groups starting for math and writing.
- Parent teacher conferences: October 17th. Reminder sent out.
- Recent school events: cow demo, fire safety, ventriloquist performance.
Teacher’s Report
Teacher – Mia Campbell
- She is teaching grade 2/3 split, part-time
- Recently returned from maternity leave
- Excited to be teaching in Armstrong where she grew up

- Thank you to everyone for Welcome Back BBQ—big success

- Gaming: $14,350.22 (includes this year’s Gaming Grant)
Note: $5,220 BC Gaming Grant for 2024-2025 school year deposited Oct 2, 2024.
Motion to add the Learning Resource Centre to the PAC Classroom Allowance

Old Business
Special Project: AES Garden Construction Update
- 14 grant applications in progress (Michelle, MJ)
- Donor packages being developed (Nadine, MJ); tiered donations (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- 4 contractor bids for fence; lowest is ~$22,000 for materials/labor/tax
Special Project: Willing to Ninja at the School
- PAC funded enrichment
- Scheduled for Nov 15 & 22
- Every class participates
Terry Fox Run
- Raised ~$582
- Positive feedback, student engagement
Welcome Back BBQ
- 470 hot dogs served, potluck a success
- Plans to invite a local band next year
Fundraising Update
- Davison Orchards Apples: 46 boxes ordered so far
- Wrapping Paper Fundraiser: Oct 21–Nov 1 (Madison Reynolds)
- Winter Concert Bake Sale & 50/50: Dec 17–19

- Request from Mrs. Rempel and Mrs. Novakowski denied
- Alternate funding options being explored, including increasing PAC Classroom Allowance for all classrooms in the future if funds allow
Grade 5 Grad
- Dinner vote: Burgers were top choice
- 14 response forms still outstanding
- Option for second food choice being considered
