Call to Order, Welcome, and Acknowledgement
Meeting called to order at 5:37 PM PST.
We respectfully acknowledge that we are grateful to live, work, and play within the beautiful ancestral, traditional, and unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan people, Secwepemc Nation and acknowledge the Métis people who reside here.

Principal’s Report
Principal – Val Edgell
- 7 staff attended an international math conference in Whistler over 3 days (held every 3 years in BC). Focus: applying math to real-life and understanding the “why”
- Next Pro-D day will focus on writing
- Math Night for Parents (“Box Cars & One-Eyed Jacks”) – January 8, 2025. Registration deadline: December 13. Len Wood and Highland Park families invited. Grouped by K–3 and 4–8.
- School-Wide Letter Writing Event – November 29 from 1–2 PM. Parents welcome
- Snow removal: looking to hire someone to clear paths/entrances by 7 AM; approx. $25/hr; hired by the district. Aislinn will post ad in Armstrong Facebook groups
- Winter Concert: December 17–19 (daytime). Parents have requested evening concerts but daytime better supports all student attendance
- Garden Grants: multiple grant applications underway (Michelle & MJ), including one promisingo application to Western Financial (via Ericka Schweb)

- Operating: $39,406.32 (includes $1,900 for hoodies)
- Gaming: $14,301.59

Special Project: AES Garden Construction Update
- Garden project page is live on AES website
- Fundraising thermometer will be added (Val)
- Total fundraising goal: $46,000
- Michelle, Pia, MJ, and Michelle’s sister working on grant applications
- Donor packages are ready. Google worksheet for planning distribution created by MJ
- Possible donation box at school winter concert
Fundraising Update
- Davison Orchards Apple Boxes
- 53 boxes sold (4 more than last year)
- $694 raised
- Honeycrisp was the most popular variety
- Pickup logistics went smoothly
- Wrapping Paper Fundraiser (Madison Reynolds)
- Deadline: November 10
- Teach & Learn Shopping Night + Fudge Fundraiser
- Jordi will follow up
- Seed Fundraiser (West Coast Seeds)
- MJ has printed flyers
- Launch January 15–29, 2025
- Some donated seeds will be used in AES Garden, others in AES Seed Library
- Ladies Night Fundraiser at Branding Iron – Possibly end of January
