Welcome to the AES PAC!
The Armstrong Elementary School Parents’ Advisory Council (AES PAC) is the officially recognized voice of parents and guardians at Armstrong Elementary School. We work collaboratively with school staff, school district, and the broader community to support the well-being and success of all students.
As per Section 8 of the BC School Act, every parent or guardian of a student enrolled at AES is automatically a member of the PAC. You don’t need to sign up or pay dues. If you’re a parent or caregiver of an AES student, you belong here.
The Purpose of the AES PAC
The AES PAC exists to:
- Represent the interests, concerns, and ideas of Armstrong Elementary families
- Act as a bridge between parents and the school staff and school district administration
- Provide input on school-based decisions that affect students’ education and school experience
- Organize events, fundraisers, and enrichment activities for the school community
- Advocate for a safe, inclusive, and well-resourced school environment
- Ensure that AES receives fair treatment, funding, and attention within School District 83

- Kindergarten Graduation and Grade 5 Graduation
Events & Celebrations
We help plan and host events that build school spirit and bring families together, including:
- Welcome Back BBQ
- Fall Harvest Festival
- Spring Celebration
- Grade 5 and Kindergarten Grad Celebrations
- Seasonal Fundraising Events
Fundraising
PAC raises funds to support student learning, outdoor play spaces, technology, cultural experiences, and more. We’re transparent with how funds are used and welcome input from parents on funding priorities. Please read more about our fundraising programs.
Advocacy
We meet regularly with the school principal and staff to provide parent feedback and share concerns. We also speak up at the district level when needed to ensure Armstrong voices are heard. Please read more about our advocacy work.
AES PAC Leadership
Our PAC is led by an Executive Committee. This group of elected parent volunteers and supported by an amazing team of coordinators and event leads. Executive elections are held at our Annual General Meeting in June. Please read our bylaws for more information on our leadership.
